Literary Journals We Are Reading: Ghost Parachute

Three Reasons Why I Read Ghost Parachute:

1.     Because they’re a niche journal without limiting their scope. Ghost Parachute proudly collects only the strangest of stories, asking that submitters send in their wackiest pieces, but wackiness is subjective, no?

2.     Because as a writer myself, I’m excited by the prospect of having a story published in a journal that’s accompanied by an original art piece! Each story accepted by Ghost Parachute is given an original art piece drawn by one of the team’s artists! Very cool!

3.     Because they’re an artistic journal, one whose identity prides itself upon its writing and its art. The two mediums work in tandem, something I find to be unique, and there’s something very interesting to me about a journal that publishes monthly yet puts out incredible content in each issue!

Julian Borda (he/him) is a writer-in-progress who likes to sip juice boxes while reading steamy, gay werewolf novels. As he’s getting ready to graduate, you can usually find him sagging in his favorite chair at the local library, trying to write something that howls from deep within.
