Whatever you’re craving this week, whether it be drama, children’s fiction, memoir/non-fiction, literary or speculative, fiction reader Uche Okonkwo has got you covered.
For drama, she is reading Oleanna by David Mamet. Children’s fiction is Stella by Starlight, by Sharon M. Draper, and memoir/non-fiction is Wild Swans by Jung Chang (a book she is perpetually re-reading). For literary fiction, Uche is very slowly re-reading Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and The Marriage Plot by Jeffrey Eugenides. Speculative fiction is Nnedi Okorafor’s Lagoon.
Uche Okonkwo is an MFA Fiction student at Virginia Tech. Her work has appeared in Ploughshares, Ellipsis, and Per Contra.
