Poetry reader Yasmine Kaminsky came up with this week’s writing prompt and a TMR staff member wrote the sample response.
Writing Prompt: Choose a prose piece or scholarly article in a past issue of TMR, and create a found poem from this article that somehow subverts the text. You may choose to type up your found poem, redact the text with marker/paint/whiteout, or create space on the page with another form.
The text for this poem comes from Cady Vishniac’s “Things He Sends Out Daughter” in TMR issue no. 87 (pp. 10).
